Insomnia has been linked with many illnesses and health problems including obesity, cancer, chronic pain, high blood pressure, and depression. Several recent studies found that yoga was linked to improved sleep quality, reduced feelings of fatigue and stress, reduced frequency of use of sleep medication, and an improved sense of quality of life
This class will start with gentle movement and stretches to work out the kinks and tension of your day. We will then round out the practice with restorative yoga using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks so that the body is completely supported and muscles and mind have time to relax.
