Grace approaches her mat with a creative and open approach and aims to translate this in her classes. She moves from the inspiration of the heart and encourages her students to move into their practice with a life-affirming and heart felt intention. Her classes focus on alignment principles to optimize the expansion of the body and mind and to help students to move into their body with deeper awareness. Her fun loving but sensitive approach encourages her students to celebrate their practice with deep gratitude and an expansive heart! Grace looks forward to meeting you on the mat in the near future.
Grace is a certified yoga instructor. She originally studied with Michelle Cormack in Vinyasa Flow yoga. Michelle's emphasis on the connection of body and breath and her creative approach to the practice encouraged Grace to invite the same freedom to her own practice and teachings. Grace discovered a new and profoundly inspiring path when she stepped into her first Anusara yoga class two years ago and has since devoted her studies to the Anusara method. The strong alignment principles combined with the heartfelt community of the practice encourages Grace to step fully into her yoga practice. She has completed 200 hours of Anusara training in yoga practice, anatomy and philosophy with notable teachers from the practice, including; John Friend, Martin Kirk, Noah Maze, Robin Golt and finally Todd Norian and Ann Greene. She is continuing her Anusara practice as she enters into the Anusara teachers training with Todd and Ann this Autumn. Grace is profoundly grateful to all of the teachings and support from her many teachers along her path. She offers particular gratitude to Todd and Anne for their heart centred teachings, their loving support of her personal growth and for setting a deeply inspiring example by fully embodying the practice of yoga. She is also deeply grateful for her family, friends and the strong yoga community (both locally and in the Anusara circle) for their encouragement and love, and finally to her beloved partner Andrew for his patience, love and support as she moves through this beautiful path of yoga. May you be blessed with health, happiness and peace.
